1950s Blue Floral Cotton Halter Dress

It's dresses like this that really make us envy girly-girls.  We've come to the conclusion it's probably a genetic code that makes some girls ultra 'girly' and others envious observers. You either have it or you don't, and sadly, we've come to accept the fact that we're in the category of the later. It's for that reason that we especially appreciate an ultra feminine vintage dress. So if you're one of those lucky girls who looks fabulous in sexy little sundresses, we are holding your new best friend hostage. In a lightweight cotton fabric, tiny little flowers in pale and medium blue with green foliage are strewn over a snow white background.  The modestly cut halter style bodice is eased through beneath the bust, above a wide, formfitting midriff, with tiny tight gathers forming the tiered and ruffled skirt. The ruffled tiers are piped in a medium blue binding, and the halter has been lengthened at the back of the neck by the addition of long blue ties. Zippered closure through the midriff in back. Bust measures 36.5", midriff/waist 27", length 45" from shoulder, 28" from natural waist.  One pinhole at the back midriff near the zipper, otherwise excellent condition.  sold
