1950s Floral Printed Cotton Shirt Dress

We love the combination of the floral and dot patterns on the pale pink background of this classic Fifties shirt dress. Cotton sheeting fabric has a tromp l'oeil embroidered handkerchief print with rose pink and cornflower blue carnations on a white background with rose pink and black polka dots, and whipstitched scallop finished 'edges'. Classic shirtwaist styling with a short cap sleeve, four rhinestone topped plastic buttons up the front, and a side zipper closure, the dress is fitted through the bodice, then gathered at the waist into a very full and flirty skirt and accented with a black patent vinyl belt. The collar and sleeve are trimmed in contrasting rose pink binding. There is a repaired tear at the left underarm seam above the zipper, otherwise in excellent condition.  Bust measures 38", waist 34", length 46". $145
