1980s Liza Bruce Black Spandex Tank Dress

If Azzedine Alaia was crowned 'King of Cling' in the Eighties, then Liza Bruce was the Queen. She launched her career in the early 1980s by designing swimwear, and was soon known for using Lycra to create streamlined garments that hugged and shaped the body like a second skin. This black matte nylon and elastane stretch tank dress is Liza at her best, and it's not for the tentative - you'd better have a good deal of self confidence and a body to match, though it will hold you in better than a Spanx bodysuit. A long, simple cut with 17" slits at the center front and back.  The flat, unstretched measurements are: bust 26", waist 20", hip 27" with a shoulder to shoulder measurement of 11" We have it poured over a dress form with measurements of 31" - 22" - 32.5" so you can gauge fit. Length is 52". Made in England by Liza Bruce, it's in excellent condition and not a label you see very often in the vintage world. $295
