1970s Muslin & Lace Long Dress

If we had saved the graduation dress from Jr. High School in 1973, this is the dress you'd be looking at it, and somewhere in the vast mess that is our photo 'file', we have the picture to prove it. Four adolescent girls, standing in front of the auditorium with our 8th grade teacher, Mr. Rickards, a dead ringer for Mark Spitz - every one of us sporting hair suffering from some degree or another of  mom-chopping; at least two of us in a version of this dress. Unlined, of crinkled natural muslin, the dress has a modified empire waist that ties in the back (smock tops were chic in 1973), a little puffed shoulder with a modified angel wing sleeve, lace trim at the neckline and waist band, back zip closure. Bust measures 36", waist 29", hips to 39" shoulder 13" sleeve 23", length 56".  Made in California, the dress appears to have been unworn, and is in excellent condition. $105
