You could say that Diane von Furstenberg's wrap dress disproves the old adage that you don't mess with a good thing. You could also say that Diane took a good thing and kept making it better. Her early wrap designs came in a candy counter selection of fabrics and patterns - acrylic, silk and cotton jerseys in wild animal patterns, bold geometrics and pretty floral prints. This wrap dress is a short sleeved version, in a soft palette of peach, sage and dark green with a touch of black on an ivory background. The bodice has clusters of tiny nodding bell-shaped flowers (they look like Campanula to us) scattered on it, while the pattern on the skirt is tighter and more exuberant with the same floral print. In a lightweight cotton jersey, its the perfect von Furstenberg for Spring and Summer. The wrap style makes this work for a modern size 4 to 6, the total length is 44", the sleeve is about 7". It's displayed on a dress form with measurements of 37"-27"-37" - busty gals should consider how much cleavage you want to show (off). Excellent condition. $225
