Launched in 1978, Sèmplice at its height was a top knitwear firm, sold in stores like Neiman-Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue before they folded in 1992. With a deep v-neck with buttons running breast to hem, this little black dress is like your favorite cardigan sweater, only sexier. Constructed in a flat acrylic/wool knit, it has a ribbed midriff that really accents the waist line. A deeply cut raglan sleeve has a padded shoulder and is finished with a deep, ribbed cuff. Flat, unstretched measurements are bust 40", waist 30", hip 36", sleeve (center back to end of sleeve) 34", length 42". The nature of the knit should accommodate a modern size 6 to 8. Knit in Hong Kong, the dress also bears a Neiman-Marcus label, and is in excellent condition. $165
