1970s Halston Pink Silk Chiffon One-Shoulder Column Gown

What can we say?  Sigh.... yes, we humbly bow before the shrine of Halston, and don't really care what medium he used - silk, wool knit, or Ultrasuede - he was a  genius with a capital 'G' - but he was especially brilliant with his manipulation of fabric on the bias. And what can we say about this gown?  An iconic Halston design - a one shouldered, bias cut sheath in pale shell pink silk chiffon, it ties at the left shoulder, with tiered layers of chiffon floating around the body like being surrounded by a cloud, or cotton candy - the ultimate fantasy gown. The bias cut of the silk will allow a little play in the measurements, but we recommend no larger than about 37"-27"-37" - which equates to modern 6 or slender 8. The length is 54" measured from under the arm to the hem; the tie is adjustable at the top of the shoulder. The dress does have a few scattered holes in the chiffon near the hem, otherwise excellent. $675
