1970s Kenzo Short Cotton Dress/Tunic

Kenzo Takada's designs always demonstrate an inspiration drawn from a vast variety of ethnic styles and multicultural influences. So they retain a kind of global timelessness, and look just as modern today as they did decades ago. This cotton tunic-dress has a Moroccan/Scandinavian feel to it, with fabric in an ethnic-looking checked dobby weave in varying shades of green - aqua, grass green, teal and kelly - with black. The bodice closes with six tiny buttons up the front and a short attached tie at the neck. The gathered 'skirt' has inseam hip pockets and is hemmed with a wide band stitched on the bias so that the stripes of the skirt are slanted on a diagonal at the bottom of the piece. Bracelet length sleeves have a single buttoned cuff. Great as a short dress or worn as a tunic over black cotton trousers. Tiny in size and in excellent condition. Bust 30", waist 28, shoulder 14", sleeve 19.5", length 34".  $145
