1970s Marimekko Tasaraita Striped T-Shirt Dress

The summer of 1972 - 'Can't Buy a Thrill' was the LP playing all day long on the stereo; our cousins were spending the Summer with us and we all sought relief from the heat in the above-ground Dough Boy pool, making giant whirlpools and letting the current carry us around and around the perimeter. We lived in our swimsuits, and threw a t-shirt dress over it when we took off for a day at the Zoo, Seaworld, Disneyland or the beach. Marimekko's Tasaraita stripe, in mango and white in a long straight cotton jersey t-shirt dress. Slightly oversized, it has a white ribbed trim at the neck and sleeve, dropped shoulder and a small Marimekko tag on the right hip. Bust/hip to 42", length 55". Excellent condition.  $145
