1970s Krist Gudnason Black & White Smock Dress

Krist Gudnason was a California clothing manufacturer that, along with others of the same ilk, helped set the trend for casual California styles across the country during the 1960s and 1970s. This is another of their smock dresses, this time in a more sedate print than that of the elephant print one we have listed. The body of the dress is lightweight white cotton poplin, with wide diagonal bands of black polka dot fabric and solid black at the hemline. The sleeves echo the pattern of the dress, with black and white grosgrain trim delineating the different fabric patterns. The dress has an inseam pockets at the right hip.  Bust to 40", sleeve 13", length 41".   Excellent, unworn condition with Desmond's store tag attached. $165
