We have to fess up to a long standing, sentimental affection for the musicals of Rodgers and Hammerstein - South Pacific, Oklahoma!, the King and I and Carousel to name a few. We've watched the film versions of all of them countless times, and one of our favorite scenes in Oklahoma! is when the neighboring girls all stop at Aunt Eller's to get gussied up for the barn raising and box social. This dress could be right out of that scene. Not hoe-down hokey, but cute and feminine with an Old (mid) West vibe. Fashioned in a black and white gingham checked cotton, the dress has 3/4 length sleeves that end in a ruffle, piped in black trim with a little bow accent. The bodice has a faux button closure up the front, with the modestly cut neckline also accented with black ribbon and a bow at the center. The skirt gently flares from a black fabric belted waist. Back zipper closure. Bust measures 38", waist 28", sleeve length 14", shoulder 15.5", length 43". New old stock with tags attached and in excellent condition. About a modern size 8. $135
