1950s Carlye Blue Linen Dress

In a sky blue Moygashel linen, the bodice of this dress is intricately cut, with a geometric pattern in fine lines of dark blue and black appliqued over the solid blue dress, and features a fold-over petal over the bust.  Ruched tucks on either side of the front waist define the waist, then releases to an inverted pleat below the lower diamond point at about thigh level. Inverted seams run the length of the dress down the center front and back. The collar is also accented with strips of the striped linen fabric. The dress has a side zipper closure, and inseam pockets at either hip. Has a buckled fabric belt of the striped linen, but it's damaged. Bust measures 38", waist 29", hip 38", shoulder 16", length 42". Bears a Carlye and Moygashel labels. About a modern size 10. $155
