It's no wonder Halston was so well loved by his clients and friends. You gotta bet that a guy who designed like he did had to just LOVE women, even if he was gay. It's hard to find anyone else who designed with such simplicity - so much of his work was done with minimal seaming, just incredible cut - using fabrics that other designers turned their noses up at. Bless his tortured soul, Halston was a true genius. This fabulous little dress is another of Halston's tribute to women. The ultra-sexy neckline dips to the waist in front, with short capped sleeves that are extensions of the bodice. The waist is gathered and elasticized, with hidden inseam pockets at either hip. The waist wraps with a golden yellow silk shantung obi belt that you can tie in front as we have, or wrap around the waist another time or two. Sunny yellow silky crepe de chine has bright crayola mark stripes of green orange, magenta, violet, mango and medium blue running through it. Bust 36", waist to 29", hip 38", length 45" - best on a modern size 6. A teeny, tiny pinprick hole at the left shoulder/sleeve keeps this dress from being flawless. $565
