Tan Giudicelli launched his fashion label, Tan Giudicelli Couture, in the fall of 1984, with his first collection receiving rave reviews for his sexy, lighthearted designs which emphasized a woman's natural curvy silhouette. By the early 1990s, Tan was designing for Hermes' ready-to-wear line - which has subsequently employed illustrious names like Martin Margiela and Jean-Paul Gaultier - so you know Giudicelli stood in good company. This little black dress exemplifies Tan's signature sexy, curvy style, and his emphasis on necklines. In this case, a fitted, pegged fine cotton twill sheath has a double layer pleated white organdy bodice that fans out at the décolleté, creating the image that the wearer is sort of emerging from the petals of a flower (or maybe a birthday cake). Yes, it's very sexy and very attention grabbing. The interior of the bodice is reinforced with a boned corset-like support, with thin straps at the shoulder and a back zip closure. Extended pockets at the hip serve to further emphasize that curvy line. Bust 35", waist 26", hip 36", length 41". Exquisitely made in France it also carries a Henri Bendel label, is fully lined and except for a small, faint freckle (approximately 2 mm) on the organza at the left front, this is in excellent condition. sold
