Just in case you thought perhaps evening attire of late was geared solely toward high school seniors, allow us to beg your pardon with this delectable confection. Designed by Elinor Rizkallah Simmons for Malcolm Starr in a silk the color of orange sherbet. A straight sheath in orange crepe de chine has an illusion bodice, giving the look of a strapless gown beneath a gossamer light double layer of silk chiffon. Falling in a column to the floor, the hem has tiers of soft ruffles, which swirl and dance about your feet as you move. The sleeves are long and sheer, with single self-covered buttons at the wrist. The silk sheath has an invisible zipper closure in the back, with the chiffon buttoning over that with delicate thread loops and covered buttons. Bust measures 36", hip 38", shoulder 17.5", sleeve 23", length 59". Excellent condition. $425
