1980s Hanae Mori Charcoal Gray Coat Dress

With a nod to the styles of the 1940s, this charcoal gray pin striped dress by Hanae Mori is at once strong and feminine. The lightweight, crinkled charcoal gray sharkskin fabric has a subtle sheen, accented with a white pin stripe.  Double breasted design with three pairs of cast gold toned buttons that in themselves are works of art.  The waist is fitted, with stitched down darting. The shoulder is pleated and lightly padded, with elbow-length split cuff sleeves. Patch pockets sit at either hip, and a buttoned half belt in the back lends the finishing touch. From the Hanae Mori Boutique, it's unlined and makes a gorgeous retro-modern look paired with plum suede Donna Karan platform pumps.  Bust measures 38", waist 28", hip 37", shoulder 16", sleeve 15", length 40.5".  Excellent condition. $165
