1970s Calvin Klein Black Knit Dress with Shoulder Placket

We humbly bow at the feet of Calvin Klein.  Klein launched his career designing coats (which Bonwit Teller had the foresight to snap up), because he found coat designs to be the least inventive category of clothes, so he designed some that had simplicity and spark.  Klein understood that American women wanted beautiful fabrics, subtle colors and simpler styles.  And that is what he has done consistently since the late 1960s.  This black wool dress, a midweight wool jersey knit, is classic Klein - simple, flattering, timeless and enduring. Unlike an adorable boyfriend, you can always count on Calvin to be there with you for the long haul. A modified turtleneck, it is slim and sexy and buttons up the left shoulder to the neck. Has a lightly padded shoulder, and sleeves that taper to a faux 3 button wrist.  Hidden inseam pockets at either hip. Bust measures 37", waist 34", hip 36"  shoulder 18", sleeve 25", length 40" with 3" allowance. Honey, if you're looking for a lasting fashion relationship, come to Calvin -  he won't let you down. Excellent condition.  $245
