1970s Donald Brooks Black Jersey Dress

A gorgeous Grecian-styled gown in slinky black jersey, the lines are simple and classic, with a straight neckline and thin spaghetti straps. An otherwise simple self-faced bodice is accented with channel stitching in a stylized deco fan pattern, and the skirt falls from the waist in a column of soft, full gathers. A long, thin tie belt at the waist furthers the Grecian feel of the gown. The dress has a side zipper closure. Unstretched measurements are:  Bust 31", waist 24" (no stretch in waist), hip full, length 60". We are showing it on a dress form with measurements of  35-24-36, and its tight through the bodice, best on a modern size 4. Made by Donald Brooks, it is in excellent condition.  $265
