1970s Garden Party Floral Muslin Dress

We won't exactly give away our age at the time this dress was around, but suffice to say 1972 was a pretty good year. Ricky Nelson's 'Garden Party' was in the top ten, and we were finally allowed to go to school dances. Alas, the boys in our grade didn't yet appreciate our budding charm, so we spent much of the time standing around the perimeter of the gym floor with our other girl friends who went unnoticed by the knuckle headed boys as well. A sweet little confection of a dress created from a sheer floral printed cotton voile floating over a floral printed ecru muslin layer. The dress has a sheer ruffle at the neckline, and a flutter sleeve below it.  Zippered closure in the back, with an attached pink satin ribbon that ties in front. Youthful, fresh and innocent, it takes us back to a time when we were still that, too. Excellent condition. Bust measures 30", waist 25", hip 34", shoudler 14", sleeve 8", length 53".    $125
