When we were young and our parents needed a night out, they called upon two neighborhood babysitters: Adrienne was every kids dream sitter, the one we always loved being left with. Our other sitter was Yolie - the pinch-hitter Mom used when she couldn't get Adrienne. We cried if she got Yolie. Not that she was that bad, but she wasn't Adrienne. Adrienne would even let us come over to her house to bother her when she wasn't sitting. She'd do our hair and make-up, and let us scrape wax off her brother's surfboard to make fake fingernails. She was the coolest! Anyway, when babysitting, both Yolie and Adrienne liked to play LPs on our parent's hifi. Probably the most crucial difference between them was that Yolie enjoyed scaring the shit out of us by playing the soundtrack from 'Goldfinger' all night long. Adrienne, on the other hand, played Martin Dennys 'Quiet Village', which sounded like you were sitting in a tropical rainforest. It was undoubtedly their choice of music that influenced our preference for our sitters - and something that has stayed with us to this day. So in remembrance of Adrienne's big heart and soothing way - the Quiet Village dress. Not your typical 'Hawaiian' print, this adorable little polyester knit dress features a tropical tiki village print replete with island foiliage, tiki hut, san-pan, bamboo bridge, waterfall, deer and fish. In warm shades of brown, burnt orange, khaki green, ivory and dove gray on a black ground. Simply styled, the jewel neckline and sleeve cuffs have a striped rib knit trim. With a zippered back closure, it's clingy, but not too. You're sure to feel transported and renewed, like a mini-vacation - just slipping it on. A great look with black knee-high boots, it's knit in Italy for Goldworm and in excellent condition. Bust/waist measure 38", hip 40", shoulder 14.5", sleeve 24", length 42". $75
