Along with Leonard and la Mendola, Averardo Bessi was another contemporary designer of Emilio Pucci who worked with silk jersey pieces in vibrant, colorful prints. This particular dress is in a beautiful shade of turquoise blue with a floral print in shades of royal blue, violet and lavender with seafoam and grass green. What we love about this is that while the jersey is clingy and sensuous, the draped styling makes it much more wearable for women who love the look and feel of silk jersey, but might otherwise find it a bit too clingy in the wrong areas. Almost 1940s in styling with wide batwing sleeves tapering from a smooth bodice with a mock turtleneck. The full and feminine skirt is gathered into a waist band of the coordinating fabric that also trims the neck, sleeve cuff and hem. Details include snap closures on the sleeve cuff, and a 15" slit at the left hem. The dress zips closed in the back, and except for 3 faint yellow spots, close to the seam on both sleeves, it is in excellent condition. Also bears a Made in Italy for Saks Fifth Avenue label. Bust measures 37", waist 28", hips - full, shoulder 15", sleeve 22". total length 55". $225
