1960s London Fog Pink Coat

We wonder how many other women went off on a frantic search to find that pink Burberry trench coat when it came out last Spring.  Not that we bought it. But we just wanted to see if we could buy it - it was so danged cute.  Anyway, as is usually the case, it didn't take long to find a nice little vintage version that was even better because it was vintage and nobody else would have it.  And, as is also usually the case, it didn't fit. So, here it is, perfect for Spring.  From London fog, an absolutely adorable cotton-candy pink rain/overcoat done in a mid weight cotton canvas, it is lined in an unbelievably cute pink and white gingham checked cotton. This A-line coat has a fairly wide, flat collar, a raglan sleeve and a hidden button placket in front, it also sports a pair of slanted welt pockets at the waist, and  two huge, topstitched patch pockets below those. The topstitching  is a darker rose pink, which contrasts very nicely against the fabric, and gives it a little punch. Also has a pleat at the center back. The bust measures 42", waist 46", hip 53", shoulder 17", sleeve 23", length 34".  Has a mark 3 cm long (pen?) on the rear right sleeve near the underarm, otherwise excellent condition.  $125
