1960s  Plum Colored Tweed Coat

This coat is one of our favorites, and another we are listing in deference to our as yet intact resolution to 'let go'. A proper ladies coat in a wonderfully unstaid and refreshing color, perfect to add a nice shot of color to an otherwise dreary  winter. This wool plaid is actually woven with threads of magenta and charcoal, which appears as a rich plum color at forty paces.  Double breasted with four pairs of round, jujube berry colored plastic buttons in front from collar to hip.  The tailoring is straight and unadorned, save for slanted bound slit hip pockets with a faux flap above.  Fully lined in plum satin, this coat is made by Craigleigh and in excellent condition. Bust measures 42", waist 42", hip 44",  shoulder 15.5, sleeve 23",  total length 41.5". $245
