1970s Ilie Wacs Ivory Trench Coat

Ilie Wacs designed some of the best coats of the 1960s for Originala before he went out on his own in the mid 1970s. This fuzzy ivory synthetic blend coat has trench coat details, like that nice huge collar to turn up at the back of the neck, half-belted sleeve cuffs and an inverted pleat in the back, but it feels just like your favorite cozy bathrobe snuggled up in it. Tailored details include topstitching on the seams, bound buttonholes and a pair of deep oversized patch pockets at the hip with a third at the left breast. Has a soft shoulder with a kimono sleeve that is part of the body of the coat. Buttons  in front with four ivory buttons, and has belt loops and a tie belt at the waist. Tailored,  without being a straight jacket, it also has a soft and girly side, too. Made for Wacs Works, this coat is fully lined in ivory acetate and in excellent condition with original hang tag.  Bust measures 40", hip 45", inner sleeve length 18", outer sleeve approx 23.5", total length 44".  sold
