1970s Lilli Ann Chevron Stripe Fringed Coat

Lilli Ann was not a designing woman, but a clothing manufacturer which employed talented designers to create the wonderful pieces that Lilli Ann became known for.  We are particularly crazy about Lilli Ann suits from the 1940s and coats from the 1970s, and judging from this fabulous coat, we think we have every right to be. A bold herringbone weave in black and white makes for a very graphic look.  Black yarn fringe runs all the way around the edges of the coat, including the cuff of the bracelet length sleeve.  The fit is close cut, with a slightly nipped-in waist, a high-cut arm and a slim sleeve. Closes in front with a single hook at the waist.  Lined in black acetate, it also carries a Marshall-Russo label and is in excellent condition.  Sized for a solid modern 6, the bust measures 37"; waist 27"; hip 38"; shoulder 15", sleeve 22" (including 3" of fringe); length 34"(including 3" of fringe). $285
