1970s Gil Aimbez Raspberry Trench Coat |

|
A lightweight nylon and acrylic poplin trench coat
in a mouth watering, slightly iridescent, shade of raspberry sorbet
that glints in the sunlight. Button front with military
inspired details like shoulder epaulets, a detachable tab at
the neck and a buckled belt with a keeper in the rear, but true to the unconventional
design style of Gil Aimbez, the coat lacks the staid look of a traditional
trench coat. The belt
has a faux tortoiseshell buckle, expandable patch pockets with flaps
at the hip, and buttoned sleeve cuffs. The coat hits mid-calf, and
is unlined. Made by Gil Aimbez for Snafu, except for a tiny, tiny
hole at the seam of the hem, its in excellent condition.
