Like most living creatures, alpacas are softest when they're babies. Baby alpaca fiber is what you get when an alpaca has its first shearing, and being virgin fleece, it's the softest, most silken fiber the animal will likely ever produce (like a human baby's first locks). With a softness quotient akin to fine cashmere, in an apple red color that will make your spirit soar, we think you can't go very far wrong with this coat. A classic straight cut, four button style with four gold toned buttons, a dolman sleeve and vertical welted pockets at either hip. Bust to 45", center back to end of sleeve measures 29", length 40". Lined in red satin, it was made for Regency Styles, Ltd. and also carries a Neusteter's store label. Excellent condition. $410
