1970s Sweater Coat

A perfect transitional piece for Fall and Spring, this knit sweater coat is open in front with three simple tie closures - at the neck, bust and midriff - so it looks right worn open and untied, too. A wool/acrylic knit in a modified fair isle (kinda) striped pattern in rose, rust, black, putty-beige and ivory, it's every bit as beautiful as Missoni but without the quadruple digit price tag. Balloon sleeves are full with a banded cuff, and a slightly set in shoulder, slip pockets sit low on the hip. Flat unstretched measurements are bust 36", hip 41", sleeve (center back to end of sleeve) 28", length 40". Made by Miss JoAnn of California, it is in excellent condition.  $220
