1970s Bonnie Cashin Leather Trimmed Coat

Bonnie Cashin is a designer with wide appeal.  Even women who 'don't like vintage', like Cashin.  Her designs are down to earth and functional, but highly innovative and modern, so that even gals who wouldn't be caught dead in vintage Dior adore Bonnie Cashin's clothes.  This light tan canvas coat will appeal to almost any fashion lover.  Trimmed in French vanilla colored leather trim that is accented with channel stitching down the placket, at the cuff and on the sash belt that threads through leather belt loops at the side waist.   Huge inseam pockets are topstitched at the hip, the coat fastens from neck to midsection with four brass turnlock closures. Lined in matching beige canvas and made for Philip Sills, bust up to 40", hip to 46", shoulder (center back to cuff) 29", total length 40". There are a few small, very faint smudges on the canvas, and the lining has scattered green spots where verdigris from the brass closures on the inner leather placket has migrated to the canvas, and an oxidation stain on the lower lining, all of which sounds far worse than it actually is, so we'll call it on the excellent side of very good, instead of flawless-excellent. $295
