1960s East West Musical Instruments 'Wood Rose' Leather Jacket

The holy grail of leather jackets, you could have a hundred leather jackets hanging in your closet and not one will never come close to the aura and awe inspired possessing just one jacket by East West Musical Instruments Co.  The artisans at East West were hand crafting leather and suede garments for everyone from Janis Joplin to Carlos Santana (even Springsteen owned an East West). The workmanship was incredible and to say they are highly prized today is a gross understatement. This jacket, named Wood Rose, is a rich milk chocolate colored leather, piped in tan leather with a tan and black leather appliqué in a leaf and flower design on the front and back shoulder. Three pockets in graduating sizes start at the rib cage down to the hem, the last having a flap and a buckled strap closure.  The back has a faux double belt with buckled straps at either side waist to cinch in or not. Closes in front with three antler/horn buttons on leather laces. Sleeves sport zippers running from the wrist up the forearm. Bust/chest measures 39", waist 34", hip 41" shoulder to shoulder 18", sleeve 24", total length 26". Unlined, with a few inherent faint scratches, the rough outermost layer of the horn is gone or nearly gone on two of the three buttons, and very minor soiling on the lower left front, this baby is in excellent condition. sold
